1. About Cool Books

Cool Books is a platform that allows users to read children's books and create their own books using artificial intelligence technology.

2. Eligibility and Account

- The Service is available to users of all ages
- Users under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions) should have parental or guardian supervision when using the Service
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account

3. Service Features

Free Tier:
- One (1) free AI-generated book creation per account

Subscription Tier:
- Monthly subscription provides regular credits for creating additional books
- Credits are allocated monthly and do not roll over to subsequent months unless otherwise specified

4. Payment Terms

- Subscriptions are billed monthly
- You may cancel your subscription at any time, but no refunds will be provided for partial months
- Payment information is processed through third-party payment providers
- All sales are final and non-refundable

5. Content Creation and AI

- All book content is generated by artificial intelligence
- Users provide themes, preferences, and character information to guide the AI
- Users cannot manually edit generated story text
- The AI may occasionally produce unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before making it public

6. Content Ownership

Your Created Content:
- You retain ownership rights to books you create using the Service
- You may publish, distribute, or sell your AI-created books on other platforms
- By making your books public on Cool Books, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content on the Platform

Other Users' Content:
- Books created by other users and shared publicly may be read but not copied, reproduced, or distributed outside the Platform

7. Privacy Settings

- Books can be set as public (visible to all users) or private (visible only to you)
- You may edit privacy settings at any time
- You may delete your books at any time
- Account deletion will remove your private books but may retain public books already shared on the Platform

8. User Conduct and Content Guidelines

Users agree NOT to:
- Use inappropriate, offensive, or illegal usernames or display names
- Submit inappropriate prompts or character names to the AI
- Attempt to manipulate the AI to generate inappropriate content
- Share or distribute books containing inappropriate or illegal content
- Upload or create content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
- Attempt to abuse, exploit, or hack the Service
- Share account credentials with others

Cool Books reserves the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines without notice or refund.

9. Intellectual Property

- The Cool Books platform, including its AI technology, design, and features, is owned by Cool Books
- The Cool Books name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Cool Books
- User-generated content belongs to users as described in Section 6

10. Parental Responsibility

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the Service. Cool Books does not actively monitor user age or require parental consent. Parents should review content created by or accessed by their children.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SWISS LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- Cool Books is not liable for any content created or shared by users
- Cool Books does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of AI-generated content
- Cool Books is not responsible for any damages, losses, or harm resulting from use of the Service
- Cool Books does not guarantee continuous, error-free, or secure operation of the Service
- Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services including payment processors and AI providers. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and policies. Cool Books is not responsible for third-party services.

13. Termination

- You may terminate your account at any time through account settings
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- No refunds will be provided upon termination
- We reserve the right to delete inactive accounts after prolonged periods of inactivity

14. Modifications to Terms

- We may update these Terms at any time without prior notice
- Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
- Material changes will be notified through the App or via email when possible
- It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

- These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland
- Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Valais, Switzerland
- You agree to attempt good-faith resolution before pursuing legal action

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

17. No Endorsement

Cool Books does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content. Views expressed in user-created books do not represent Cool Books' opinions or beliefs.

18. Language

These Terms are provided in multiple languages for your convenience. In case of conflicts between translations, the English version shall prevail. By using the Service, you confirm you understand the Terms in at least one provided language.
